Final CNY Outing

Friday....most of us went to work and spent 8 hours envying the ones that didn't.
It was easily the most unproductive day and hitting F5 on this page every 2 minutes didn't make it much better.

Anyways, Anish Shruti Satchit and I went off to watch "The Machinist" post-(8 hours of wondering how long 8 hours can take). Not bad, not bad at all. Interesting with some psycho-thriller feel and a bit of an unravelling at the end. A touch of Fight Club here and there. I never felt so strongly an urge to run out and donate some fat.

After a meat-laden dinner at Yoshinoya, we carried on and forward to Clarke Quay yet again (we really ought to be walking there in our sleep by now). Crazy Elephant was rocking, with John Chee completely in the mood to coax, fondle, rape and even play his six-strings. After Voodoo Child, Freebird, Sweet Home Alabama, Johnny B Goode and a catchy rendition of Sympathy, we, the tired and simultaneously broke, carried forward bravely to relax our bodies and minds such as they are - some satay, tea and shisha. Nice, a lifestyle we could get used to.

Leaving Satchit (and later Venkat) in Clarke Quay's able hands (or is it the other way around), we made our way home to (yes you guessed it, oh you smart smart jobless ppl reading this; give yourself a pat on the back and I'll take it from there) Block 75 only to find our valuables, laptops and beds still where we left them. In the darkness, we slept.

That was a good, though short and pretty sober, outing. The Machinist is a good movie. And John Chee was rocking.

I slept with the light on.
