Onward and downward

A-tripping we shall go
A weekend we shall blow
A kayak we may row
Using none o' our dough.

Come one, come all....into the peat swamp we shall sink.

Mid-week crisis

Got to break out of this 5-day coffin,
Got to get through the week so suffocating,
Tomorrow evening's what I'm living for.
What?! This weekend I could still be a workin whore.

Should expect the expected

Been a good boy.Awake and ready on time to go Changi.

And then the flight gets delayed.

Holland obsession

No, this isn't abt the very reasonable obsession with Amsterdam and its many many delights. It's Clarke Quay for pubs and Holland Village for dinners.

So once again we found ourselves back in Holland V on Sunday for dinner - Venkat, Vikas, Shruti and me. TCC has some pretty good food. Everythings nicely jazzed up - the potato salad has a touch of lime, the chop is mongolian and my coffee was Jamaican and the most sought after in TCC's idea of the world.

Satchit joined us for a little while and we returned to the comfort of our beds. Our individual beds of course.

I know that was really boring but so is now.

Final CNY Outing

Friday....most of us went to work and spent 8 hours envying the ones that didn't.
It was easily the most unproductive day and hitting F5 on this page every 2 minutes didn't make it much better.

Anyways, Anish Shruti Satchit and I went off to watch "The Machinist" post-(8 hours of wondering how long 8 hours can take). Not bad, not bad at all. Interesting with some psycho-thriller feel and a bit of an unravelling at the end. A touch of Fight Club here and there. I never felt so strongly an urge to run out and donate some fat.

After a meat-laden dinner at Yoshinoya, we carried on and forward to Clarke Quay yet again (we really ought to be walking there in our sleep by now). Crazy Elephant was rocking, with John Chee completely in the mood to coax, fondle, rape and even play his six-strings. After Voodoo Child, Freebird, Sweet Home Alabama, Johnny B Goode and a catchy rendition of Sympathy, we, the tired and simultaneously broke, carried forward bravely to relax our bodies and minds such as they are - some satay, tea and shisha. Nice, a lifestyle we could get used to.

Leaving Satchit (and later Venkat) in Clarke Quay's able hands (or is it the other way around), we made our way home to (yes you guessed it, oh you smart smart jobless ppl reading this; give yourself a pat on the back and I'll take it from there) Block 75 only to find our valuables, laptops and beds still where we left them. In the darkness, we slept.

Power to the Guests??

Do you think posting should be a Block 75-only privilege? or do you prefer that guests can post crap as well?

Write in with your opinion and stand to win a chance to read more crap.

Vote now before its too late and you have to vote later.

Permit for Guests?

Are we keeping this strictly Block 75 or shall we throw it open to the other less distinguished like ourselves?

Honorary members like Parth, Rahul....?

Kaaaaaren......

A tatto's is in town folks, in the best part of this town.

Sundanese New Year

We (Venkat & me) went to dinner at this Sundanese restaurant at Suntec yesterday. (It was a colleague's farewell.) The food was real good. You guys must try it. We also had our cake-cutting, candle-blowing thing for Venkat there; after which he did not come home straightaway.

Chinese New Year rocks man. Go shawties. Can't wait to really get into the festivities by bumming for 2.5 days straight.

Word to my fellow bloggers: try to restrict comments about a post to the comments section. This way, (I think) its gonna look neater. Maybe I'm wrong.
